A Moody Winter Catskills Elopement | Colton + Alexa

A Catskills winter elopements with Colton and Alexa while sharing a private vow exchange

Winter time is one of the most slept on seasons in my opinion for elopements! Drinking hot beverages, cozying up by the fire, watching the snow fall, I could go on! If you are looking for moody and intimate elopement vibes, then winter may be a considerable option for you! Colton and Alexa had ALLL the intimacy and moodiness they could ever ask for with their Catskills elopement!

A Moody Winter Catskills Elopement

Colton and Alexa wanted a slow and intimate day so they started it out with some quiet time sharing their coffees in the kitchen of their Airbnb. Then, they decided to write their vows together in the kitchen, but they still didn’t want the other person to see what they wrote which was so adorable! After a relaxing start to the day, they decided to get ready in adjacent rooms and help each other (Colton put Alexa’s jewelry on) which called for some intimate and sweet moments.

Once Alexa changed into her official dress, they did a first look. Alexa walked down the stairs where Colton was waiting to greet her. We then ventured out into the cold (hand warmers and boots)! It had just snowed the day before but then it rained too so it was very wet, so make sure to bring good boots when eloping in the winter! We found a gorgeous willow tree at Rick’s Point Park in Hudson where they exchanged their vows.

After exchanging their vows, we headed to Greenport Conservation Area in Hudson for some lovely lantern portraits and they frolicked in the field a bit too (because WHY NOT)! Then, we headed back to the Airbnb for a lovely candlelit dinner. The tablescape was gorgeous with burgundy florals, candles, and some wine to go with their dinner! They shared an intimate first dance after their dinner and their shadows danced on the wall with them.
